Reptile is a feature length thriller currently in develpment. It is a loose adaptation of the previous Ten Sundays film Antidote Seven. Antidote was a 17 minute short about a miracle scientific breakthrough and how it impacts the insecure inventor and the man he suspects of having an affair with his wife. Having watched it with numerous audiences since its completion in 2005, I had a good idea of what worked and what didn't. Inspired by the "body horror" subgenre and films by David Cronenberg and Catherine Breillat, I restructured the story to be centered around man's desperation to maintain control as his own body betrays him and falls apart. The search for immortality and the selling of the soul often go hand in hand in literature and works such as Dr. Faustus and The Picture of Dorian Gray were also influential.
